Cathy’s Corner – February 2020

It’s a fact, February is the shortest month of the year, Leap Day notwithstanding. Time is a limited resource; and in February, many often feel a time crunch. Let’s make the most of it.

For most, your to-do list is long and time is precious. So, use this short month to really push yourself into action.

Cathy’s Corner – January 2020

You may have noticed that we updated the look of our newsletter slightly this month. Given that we’re ushering in a new year, we felt it appropriate to simultaneously usher in an updated look.

Have you ever noticed that Apple or Amazon never do complete facelifts of their websites? Instead their sites have evolved over time, reportedly including near invisible refinements that have maintained the user experience their customers know and like.

December is often a time to reflect while at the same time look ahead. It’s been a busy year both at IT Radix and at home. So much so that it’s hard to even remember last spring.

Subject: Stay connected with IT Radix!

I was recently reminded of the days before high-speed Internet was available everywhere. This summer, on a family vacation in the Sawtooth and Bitterroot Mountain ranges of Idaho and Montana, we visited a gold mining ghost town, rafted the Salmon River, and hiked and rode ATVs in the local area.

Subject: Come sail away with IT Radix!

I’ve been sailing on and off for most of my life. My family first started sailing when I was 6 or so and living in North Carolina. We had a small daysailer that we took out on a local lake.

How many of you have a “no tech at the table” rule? I’ll admit, we’re guilty of letting our son Alex eat with his iPad or iPhone at the table when he’s eating solo; but for family meals, "the tech” must be put away.

Subject: Let’s do lunch!

In preparing for this newsletter series, we asked our team what their favorite meal of the day was. My answer was breakfast; but truthfully, any meal shared with friends or family is a favorite.
