A New Semester Means Fresh Security Habits

As the IT Radix Chief Chewing Officer, I know a new semester often means a fresh backpack—and fresh security habits. Before you fetch your backpack, let’s run through my Bark-to-School Checklist to keep the bad guys out of our yard.

  • Purge the Pack. Delete old logins and accounts you don’t use anymore. If they don’t bring you joy (or treats), bury them!
  • Roll Over Your Passwords. Update those old passwords. Make them long, strong, and harder to crack than a frozen Kong.
  • Pack the Essentials. Double-check your backup settings, update your software, and always pack a pocket full of treats for your hard-working IT department.

Now, who wants to go for a byte?
