Our Favorite Superheroes

Amy - I never really got into superheroes growing up, unless you count cartoons like She-Ra, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or real people, like Mr. T from The A-Team (I’ve got a funny story about that). But as far as the “real” superheroes, I couldn’t even name more than a handful. However, I do think it would be pretty cool to be able to fly. No traffic jams and a lot less travel time with better views seems pretty appealing.

Ashleigh – My favorite superhero is Pheonix. She’s one of the X-men. I dig the telekinetic superpower.

Cathy – I always dreamed about flying (without a cape though). Sometimes I’d actually “thud” in bed when I landed from a flight in my dreams. No, I didn’t fall out of bed, but I could literally feel my feet hit the ground or more likely the footboard. I also liked the ability to read minds…Xavier from the XMen. But I didn’t really learn about that power until the movies came out.

Christy – My favorite superhero is definitely Iron Man.

Chuck – My favorite superhero is Batman! (Only because my girlfriend’s name is Robin… and it just works)

CW – My favorite anti-hero is Vegeta. I loved his introduction and evolution as the series goes on.

Dan – My favorite superheroes are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Doug – Although I do not have a favorite superhero, I would love to be able to fly!

DylanGoku! I defy you to find one 90’s kid who didn’t raise his hands in the air to help Goku power the spirit bomb and defeat Freeza.

Fred – I do not have a favorite superhero.

Jandy – My favorite superhero was Batgirl! I was quite the tom boy growing up and would tie a towel around my neck and jump down stairs with my brother pretending to fly!

JimChuck is my hero!

Jo Ann – I really am not a fan of Superheroes. For me, the closest character to a superhero was Popeye. A can of spinach seemed to save the day. My favorite part was when he rescued Olive Oyl from his rival, Bluto.

JoeWolverine is up there on my list. From his regenerative healing ability to the retractable claws--an awesome combo!

Ken – I have lots of PEZ superheroes! I think my favorite would have to be Batman, because I always wanted a utility belt!

Kris – I was never really into superheroes, but I would love to be able to fly—beam me up, Scotty!

Laurie S. – How can we forget Spider-Man!

Laurie T. – My favorite superhero has got to be Wonder Woman!

Marybeth – My favorite hero is Harry Potter!

Melissa – None, to be quite honest. I never was big into superheroes.

Mike – I don’t know if I really have a favorite superhero. I was never much of a superhero kind of guy. I do know my daughters (and my wife) would vote for Thor, but I’m not so sure that “Great Abs” qualifies as a superpower. I don’t know if this qualifies as a superhero or not but…when I was a kid I always wanted to be like Steve Austin, the 6 Million Dollar Man (not the wrestler). How cool would it be to have bionic parts?

NinaElastigirl...amazing flexibility but more importantly, a dedicated mom!

Pat – I grew up loving being in the water. I thought it would be cool to be able to talk with animals and to be able to have them do what I wanted—like Aquaman! As I have gotten older, I would like to be able to take pain away from people. Does not matter if it is physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. To be able to touch someone, hand to hand, then to see them smile as their pain is released, or to touch someone and watch their body physically heal WOULD BE AWESOME! I believe this would be a great superpower to have. Benefits: no doctors and insurance to deal with!

Paula – I don’t want to sound cliché, but the honest truth is that both of my parents are my superheroes. They always put everyone else first before themselves, and they will go out of their way to help others in need. I realize now that they were such amazing role models, and I try every day to emulate them.

Thomas – My favorite superhero is Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. is a legend.

Tom – My favorite superhero is Batman…because he’s a tough guy.

Tracy – My favorite superhero is Wonder Woman. I watched that TV show growing up.

ZachSpiderman and all the iterations of Spiderman has always been my favorite since I was little.
