Today’s millennials grew up with technology, so being connected and tech savvy is in their blood. Equipped with the latest technology and gadgets, they are online and connected 24/7. So how should not-for-profit organizations reach out to this up-and-coming generation? Well, with technology, of course! Whether it’s mobile apps, social media or touching them where they shop, it’s time to get onboard and utilize some of these tech tools to help with fundraising efforts.
Many businesses, but particularly those in the accounting field, leverage temporary or seasonal workers. With the advances in technology, utilizing these types of personnel is even easier. The benefits are obvious—expertise and additional resources/capacity when you need it.

Businesses have always provided employees tools needed to get work done—telephones, company cars, photocopiers, computers, etc.. Sadly, some employees have taken personal advantage. With computer technology and Internet access a requisite today, employees waste a lot of productive business time surfing the Internet.
Change is good! We’ve all heard this, but there might be a hint of skepticism out there. After all, we’re all human, and our human nature tends to prefer what’s familiar to us. I mean, what’s the point of changing if “IT’s” working for us?

Allow employees to work from home. With gas prices soaring and employees traveling more than ever, the “virtual” office is becoming more of a necessity than a luxury. Allowing employees to work virtually from home or on the road will not only increase productivity, but also save you (and them!) on gas.

CHANGE! Change is difficult. Change interrupts the status quo. Likewise, when a new client engages with your organization or business almost everything you do with or for them is different than the way they did it before. There are new people to meet, new policies, new phone numbers, new emails, new departments, new schedules…and so on and so on.

To Do Lists–Most people use Outlook for email, calendars and contacts, but that last leg of the stool is called ‘Tasks’. It is a very easy to use place to keep, prioritize and manage an ever changing to-do list.
