If You Build IT

As we continue to honor and recognize notable contributors to technology throughout Black History month, Dr. Mark Dean had to be on the list.

He was one of the engineers that helped design the IBM Personal Computer in 1981.  He holds three of IBM's original nine PC patents and currently holds more than 20 total patents.

Technology and its impact on nature

As I was browsing this weekend, I stumbled across two different but related articles about bees. The first was a study that was recently published about the effect of cell phones on bees. The study finds that cell phones create noise that fatally confuses honeybees.

Stop Wasting Time on IT

I’m always on the lookout for ways to make things more efficient – be it technology or just around the home. Last Friday I working on a client’s PC and they had over 10 unnecessary programs auto-launching when their computers were starting….no wonder they were complaining that the computer was running slow!

It’s a good idea to periodically review the programs that automatically start when your computer.
