Our synopsis: Oftentimes websites, even legitimate ones you go to every day, can get infected. When that happens, attackers put in code on the website which in turn can infect your machine if you browse to it. In this case, a bug existed in Internet Explorer which is actively being used by attackers, increasing your chance of being infected. The Microsoft patch will protect you from this exploit.
