Cathy Coloff
Cathy has 25+ years of experience in network systems with particular emphasis on local area networking and business applications. With extensive corporate experience at Exxon and Bear Stearns, Cathy works with IT Radix customers to develop their IT best practices without the big corporate price.
But watch out during March Madness, when the Duke “Blue Devil” in her sneaks out to cheer on her favorite basketball team. For those of you who don’t know Cathy, working with people to develop, maintain and support information technology in a business has always been her passion. Confucius says, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
And this is exactly what Cathy has done…found her perfect niche where she never tires of bringing the best IT services and products to her valued clients. For Cathy, it’s about win-win and partnership…getting to know what her clients need and want and then giving it to them!
Cathy founded IT Radix, LLC, in the fall of 2008, realizing the growing need for small-to-medium sized businesses to stay abreast of ever changing technology. Cathy is the trusted IT advisor to many growing businesses in northern New Jersey, bringing commitment, relationships and even some fun to what some may view as a serious industry. “IT can be a dry topic for many, but I think it’s exciting to see how the latest and greatest technology can help a business to prosper and exceed their expectations.”
Cathy has worked in the IT industry for 20+ years, working at Exxon, Bear Stearns, IBS Interactive and Veraciti. Cathy has an M.S. in Management of Technology from Stevens Institute of Technology as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. While Cathy doesn’t remember much about electrical engineering, she does remember how to solve problems and look at things from different perspectives. Most importantly—never stop learning!
When not working, Cathy enjoys escaping to Vermont to spend time outdoors with her husband, Doug, and son Alex. When not protecting her two cats, Gizmo and Bear, from little Alex’s inquisitive hands, Cathy finds time for a wide variety of interests such as photography, reading, scrapbooking, decorating, biking, sailing and cross country skiing… just to name a few.
Cathy’s personal philosophy: “Love what you do!”
