While Cathy is happily married to her husband, Doug, for 25 years, she is often dating different tablet devices in search of the perfect portable companion.  We decided to play The Dating Game and have Cathy “date” some of the latest tablets.  When it comes to tablet selection, as in life, you don’t really get to know someone until you spend some time with them.

What’s this "Surface" thing?

Microsoft has announced an interesting new product called the Surface and it will compete directly with the iPad.    Since she heard the news, Ashleigh has been asking for one. (What are you going to do, she’s a true techy!)

The Desktop is dead…Long live the Desktop

So, during dinner the other night my son pipes up and says, “You should get me a laptop.”

Now, to truly appreciate this statement you need an understanding of the home of a computer geek.  You see, in my house there are currently 4 working desktop PC’s, 2 working laptops, 1 file server and a variety of network enabled devices and gadgets.
