While Cathy is happily married to her husband, Doug, for 25 years, she is often dating different tablet devices in search of the perfect portable companion.  We decided to play The Dating Game and have Cathy “date” some of the latest tablets.  When it comes to tablet selection, as in life, you don’t really get to know someone until you spend some time with them.

Many businesses leverage temporary or seasonal staff.  The benefits are obvious—expertise and additional resources/capacity when you need it. With the advances in technology, utilizing these types of personnel is even easier.  However, what may not be so obvious are the network security risks; in particular, the increased potential for compromised sensitive data or loss of control of the data.

What exactly is a migration anyway?
In the animal kingdom, migration is the large-scale movement of animals from one area or region to another.  Most animals, that migrate, do this to survive.  Birds migrate south to escape the bitter cold of the north.

In 1981, a book with a memorable title, When Bad Things Happen to Good People, was released and quickly became a bestseller.  The book was written after the premature death of the author’s young son.  One of the key points in the book is that sometimes there is no reason for things.

Technology is a moving target, and in a competitive marketplace, having the right tools available can give your company a major edge.  Not having that edge, however, can result in your business missing out on potential for new growth—ultimately hurting your bottom line.

I recently took my son to see the movie Ready Player One which takes place in the year 2045. It tells of a world where people prefer to spend their time in the "Oasis"—a virtual world where their imagination was their only limit.

The British are eagerly looking forward to the royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle—it will surely be a well-run affair, but just think of all the planning and details! Your computer network may not be as glamorous as a royal wedding but planning it can be just as complicated as a royal wedding.
